How are Organizations Using AI in Learning and Development?
Recently, Enable delivered a Webinar with partners Thomas International in which we explored how organizations can harness the efficiencies of AI without losing the human connection of facilitation, training and coaching.
To get a clearer idea of our attendees' experience with using AI, we began with a poll.
It was clear from the results that employees aren’t waiting for permission to use AI. So, instead of restricting the use of these tools, leaders should provide clear guidance and practical guardrails that protect client confidentiality and preserve trust.
At the same time, one rigid process won’t work for every department. Different teams have different needs, risks, and workflows. The goal should be to create enough structure to ensure responsible use, while allowing enough flexibility for AI to add real value where it fits.
How many businesses out there have a finger on the pulse of what their employees are doing and their receptivity regarding AI?
Almost all attendees in the webinar we delivered indicated that they are using AI in some way, but organizations don’t necessarily have a clear picture of what that usage looks like.
Every organization is moving down this path and there’s an opportunity to accelerate that progress thoughtfully, rather than blindly. AI can be a real force multiplier for people in the learning industry, but only if we apply it with the best practices of our field.
The goal should not simply be to do more, bigger, and faster. Just because you are moving faster does not mean your outcomes will be better.
